I came to the field of nutrition after years of various health issues (digestive problems, migraines, PMS, cystic acne) that culminated in a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease. Faced with a future of immune suppressing medication and the ever-looming possibility of surgery, I decided that there had to be a way to heal myself, instead of just masking my symptoms. I delved into different ways to heal myself naturally, using food and supplements. With the help of an incredible nutritionist, I found myself healing, despite the warnings from my specialist who told me it would be a waste of time and money to take this approach. I was able to be free of medication prior to getting pregnant with my daughter.
After graduating from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, I continued to hone my skills on some of the toughest clients out there – my family! I also have experience working as a private chef cooking specialized menus for several families. I am now branching out into providing specialty baking for people looking for delicious, healthy alternatives to traditional baked good.
